CASSANDRA STERN
General Manager
Cassandra Stern joined Stephen Petronio Company in 2018 as the Administrative Associate before serving as the General Manager. She graduated from James Madison University in 2017 with a B.A. degree in both Dance and Communication Studies. Prior to attending college, she was trained in the Royal Academy of Dance curriculum at the Dance and Music Design School in Cornwall, New York, where she completed the Vocational RAD exams and pursued her Solo Seal Award in Toronto, Canada.
While a member of the Virginia Repertory Dance Company from 2015-2017, Cassandra had the opportunity of working with renowned choreographers such as Netta Yerushalmy, Doug Varone, Pamela Pietro, Kelly Bartnik, and Christy Funsch. Since moving to New York, she has danced with Emotions Physical Theater, directed by Shawn Rawls, and Salvatore LaRussa Dance Theater, directed by Salvatore LaRussa.
Cassandra continues to find ways to integrate performing into her life while also supporting artists on the administrative side. From 2016-2017, she worked for Bill T. Jones at New York Live Arts in their programming department while also serving as the Marketing Manager of Cumulus Outdoor Tech, an outdoor gear company. She holds a 200-hour RYT certification and is currently a company member of One Day Dance.
