Mike Daly is a filmmaker from Sydney who works as a director and video artist in Australia and Europe. His work includes television commercials, music videos, short films and creative collaborations with theatre and dance companies. Mike studied a masters degree in film at the Australian Film Television & Radio School, which was furthered by studies in experimental film at the UdK art school in Berlin.

He worked as a VFX compositor and motion graphics designer for several years at high-end post companies such as Animal Logic. As a video artist he has been commissioned by the Sydney Dance Company, the Ballet de Lorraine in France, and several others.

His music videos and short films have won numerous awards and have screened at major international festivals, including Cannes, Palm Springs, Clermont-Ferrand and Camerimage.

Mike has also written a French-English bilingual dictionary of filmmaking specific terms. The dictionary contains over 4000 words and is available as an iPhone app called Cinémots.
