SPC PROJECTS: SIMULACRUM REELS (1987), WALK-IN (1996)
Growing up on the North shore of Long Island, Justin was a builder of elaborate tree houses and subterranean forts that provided an escape and a way to connect with nature. The farm fields, woodlands, beaches and ‘Gold Coast’ estates that surrounded him offered a rich variety of environments to admire and influenced his appreciation for both natural and classical designed landscapes.
After years of creative directions for apparel brands, Justin received his Masters degree from Columbia University while working with Mario Nievera Design. Justin designed and supervised installations of projects that include large estates in Connecticut, New Jersey, Florida, and on Long Island, as well as, terraces and courtyards in New York City.
Currently based in Sag Harbor on the east end of Long Island, Justin is designing a large estate with Robert A.M. Stern Associates in East Hampton, and numerous projects on Long Island and New York City.
Justin’s designs combine rural and un-designed elements with more formal moments, providing private areas for reflection and meditation and space for entertaining family and friends. Helping clients enjoy and connect with nature is a goal of every project.
