JAQLIN MEDLOCK works with people in need of capturing movement. She is a dancer, a dance photographer, and occasionally a dance model. Medlock is from the Bronx, NY and holds a BFA in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College. Medlock joined Stephen Petronio Company in 2011 after freelancing with numerous companies including Compagnie Julie Bour, NY2 Dance, Steps Repertory Ensemble, and Indelible Dance. She has performed works by various artists including Nacho Duato, Angelin Preljocai, Donald Byrd, Max Stone, Tyce Diorio, Sonya Tayeh, and Davalois Fearon. She worked as an assistant to choreographer Pedro Ruiz in NYC, and as an assistant to choreographer Warren Adams in Leeds, England. Medlock was named “On The Rise” by Dance Magazine in 2012, and received a TWI-NY Pandemic Award for Best Solo Dance Performance in 2020.
