Read THE NEW YORK TIMES feature by Siobhan Burke about Coverage

Coverage (1970) by Rudy Perez, one of the singular artists of color of the Judson Dance Theatre. Born in 1929, Perez was a student of Cunningham’s and, until recently, an artist largely excluded from the dominant postmodern canon.

The Company premiere of Coverage (1970) was performed April 11-13, 2019 at NYU Skirball in NYC on a program with Merce Cunningham’s Tread (1970), and Stephen Petronio’s world premiere of American Landscapes.
