Stephen Petronio on panel for Dance/USA’s 2015 Dance Forum

Join Stephen Petronio for a panel discussion during Dance/USA’s 2015 Dance Forum on Friday, January 9th from 9am-12pm at the New York Hilton Midtown.

The panel will take a look at two major current issues to professional dance: national funding and touring.  First the panel will look into national trends in funding. Discussion will explore questions such as: What does the philanthropic future look like for foundations and corporations? What does research show us about foundation and corporate support? What trends are we seeing in corporate giving? What is the effect of foundations changing their giving priorities? Second, the forum will take a look at the myths and realities of touring in the U.S. for American dance companies. The audience will hear from individuals managing touring programs, presenters, and artists who each have a different perspective on the climate of touring in the U.S. today. Be ready to engage; both panels will offer open dialogue with Dance Forum attendees.
