Performance of Trevor at the Tang Museum for Frances Day
July 15, 2017 @ 4:00 pm - 4:30 pm
See Trevor, a live performance created by Stephen Petronio and Janine Antoni and performed by Company dancer Nicholas Sciscione in the exhibition Janine Antoni & Stephen Petronio: Entangle. This event will be one of many on the Tang’s Frances Day, a community open house beginning at noon on Saturday, July 15, full of art, art-making, food, music, and more in honor of the museum’s namesake.
Trevor premiered in the first collaboration between Petronio and Antoni, Like Lazarus Did. The final section of this dance, Trevor was drawn from sonograms of a child developing in utero. This solo, performed by Stephen Petronio Company member Nicholas Sciscione, became the starting point for Honey Baby. Honey Baby is an immersive experience created by Antoni and Petronio that features a fourteen-minute video that captures Sciscione folding and tumbling while suspended in a honey-filled environment. This performance will fall on the final day of the exhibition.
The performance of Trevor is free and open to the public.
