Will Rawls Residency

The Petronio Residency Center welcomes Will Rawls to Round Top! PRC is a retreat in which to study, work, and experiment while cut loose from the overbearing pressures inherent in a choreographer’s day-to-day living. Will and his dancers have been awarded one week of exclusive access to the facilities, including full room and board, usage of the Anish Kapoor Dance Studio and locally-sourced meals prepared by our on-site chef, Nicole LoBue.

Will Rawls is a choreographer, writer and performer. His practice engages relationships between language, image, architecture, sound and dance, to explore humanity and social inscription. He frames the dancer within the racialized codes of art space, where systems of technique and power collide and are critically unraveled by the personal.
